At WACS I will be providing speech and language therapy to students demonstrating deficits in the areas of articulation, receptive/expressive language,  pragmatic language, auditory processing disorders, hearing impairments as well as other disorders/delays.  Students can be referred by parents or teachers for a speech & language screening to determine if they are eligible for therapy services.

Most students are seen once or twice a week with sessions typically lasting for 30 minutes. The therapy program at Westfield encourages a team approach;  it includes the student, parents, teachers and support staff - all working to help in the area of need.  Once the student demonstrates proficiency in the area that he/she is being seen for, they will be dismissed from this service!
