The New Year has been rung in and we had a wonderful STAR program on January 8 in which students received their t-shirts and we enjoyed a fun filled assembly with Mike Randall from Channel 7 on "Reading is Magic." Mr. Randall's program included puppetry, magic, ventriloquism, and audience participation. It brought a smile to my face as I watched students sit on the edges of their seats watching the program.
The end of the second marking period is already passed us and we have finished a half a year of school. WOW, it is hard to believe the year is half over! Report cards went home with students on January 5th.
Mid-Winter break is February 15-19 and I hope you get some time to enjoy our winter weather, before you know it Spring will be on its way! With Spring coming our way, so does our State Assessments in ELA, Math and Science. I encourage all students to continue to work hard in class and take advantage of any extra help their teachers make available to them.
